Create a mobile app for a non-profit organization.
To provide a system where high school students at the local technical school could exchange business attire with fellow classmates. The school is a project- based environment where every project is presented with an oral and visual presentation. Business attire is mandatory, yet the school is in an economically challenged area.
The app allows students to upcycle business clothing among classmates. Also included, a feature which provides for students with special needs to request for a gift card (new shoes, hair cut or special size clothing). The strong support of the local high tech industry would ensure the success of the gift card segment of the project.
I want the students to have a positive experience shopping for business clothes like any other online store and not the negative experience most feel when shopping for used clothing. Create identity and branding with a clean, straightforward business look and feel. Once a student has selected a clothing item, a series of emails is generated to the buyer and supplier. Ideally, the student in need would pick the up donated business clothes in branded gift bag.
Mobile App: UxD [You by Design]
Create a mobile app to help someone interested in becoming a UX designer.
As someone who has been in this exact positon, I was able to share the information I uncovered. There are a few paths to go about gaining the education and experience required (university, industry training, and community college). I chose to design this User's path as the least expensive route--going to the local community college for a certificate program.
The mobile app, when fully designed, would also provide other important aspects of getting into the industry such as finding mentors, networking and meet-ups, on-the-job training or internships, and professional inspiration by connecting and following industry leaders.
In calculating the cost, the app takes into account whether the student would be attending a program as an in-state resident or non-resident, living at home or on campus, and pursuing a degree or certificate.
When fully developed, the app would encourage updates especially in the areas of training, available mentors and industry leaders to following. All of which are important aspects in this rapid evolving industry.

Mobile App: KID KA$H
Develop a mobile app that makes a job easier to do.
A system to remind children of their weekly responsibilities and chores in order to earn their allowance. Email chores list, track school attendance and daily attitude.
Developed screens to enter child's name, organize responsibilities, assign chores, email chore list to child, and produce a daily and weekly summary to calculate allowance. "Pay Day" notice is emailed to the child with a detailed summary of each category (school, chores, and attitude).

Mobile App: WHERE'S MY STUFF?
Develop a mobile app that makes your life easier.
To efficiently keep track of things people lend or borrow.
I wanted to use the existing smartphone features to create a tracking app of lent or borrowed items. The app uses the Camera to record the item and its condition. The Contact list is used to select and log who the Borrow is. The Calendar feature is used to set up an ideal time when the item should be returned. The email or messaging service would be used to send reminders that the lent or borrowed item needs to be returned. Lastly, there is a visual log of all items lent or borrowed. The photograph taken, detailed description, and a color code system (green, yellow, red) allows the User to quickly inventory and access the status each item.
Skillset: Sketches to Hi-Fi Mockups
Provide examples of the quality of my work and dedication to entering the field. Included are sketches and grayscale to high-fidelity mockups. The work is a small cross-section of the work that was generated while studying, researching, and analyzing successful UIUX concepts.
Although the full color images may appear to be cropped from the internet, they are not. All images have been created as close as possible. I have all the Photoshop and Illustrator files with their many layers and effects in tack for future use. This was the objective behind the assignment. To have successful designs already created by the designer ready to be used and modified in the future--a visual library.
Software used: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro, UXPin, and InVision
